Welcome to https://startupclo.com/ (the “Site”), the website of PIERRE, LLC., a New Mexico limited liability company doing business as StartupCLO.com (“StartupCLO,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), with service of process at 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
StartupCLO provides legal products and legal services for entrepreneurs and businesses, including Legal Launch, Legacy Fortress, FractionalCLO Packages, billable hourly legal work, and other flat-fee legal products. StartupCLO also provides attorney advertising and general legal information through the Site.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information related to our Site and online services, including accounts, portal access, chat, uploads, downloads, comments, messaging, community features, scheduling tools, client intake forms, newsletters, blog content, webinars, event registration, payment checkout, legal product or service enrollment flows, and other features made available now or in the future. It also describes your choices about the collection, use, and disclosure of your information.
For dispute resolution, we utilize JAMS arbitration in New Mexico, as specified in our StartupCLO Terms of Use, available at https://startupclo.com/tos. By accessing or using the Site or Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy and the StartupCLO Terms of Use, which incorporate by reference this Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to be bound by this Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Site or Service. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in the StartupCLO Terms of Use.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to access personal information we hold about you, correct or update personal information, request deletion of personal information, receive personal information in a portable format, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, opt out of certain marketing communications, or appeal certain privacy decisions.

If you wish to opt out of promotional email communications, click on the unsubscribe link provided, or you may email optout@startupclo.com with the subject line: OPT OUT - [User Name] - [Company Name]. Even if you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send transactional, administrative, legal-service-related, billing, security, account, and legally required communications.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Site or Service, and information from service providers or third parties.
Categories of information we collect may include:
- Name;
- Address;
- Email address;
- Social Security number, where necessary for requested services;
- Account credentials, if account functionality is used;
- Documents, files, comments, messages, uploads, and other content you submit through the Service;
- Information submitted through forms, scheduling tools, intake workflows, account features, portal tools, chat, comments, messaging, community features, document uploads, or other Service features; and
- Payment-related information processed by Stripe.
StartupCLO does not intentionally store full payment card details. Stripe may collect and process payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Social Security numbers are collected only where necessary for requested services and are not stored by StartupCLO except where legally, professionally, or operationally required.
The Site and Service may allow users to submit business, legal, tax, financial, ownership, capitalization, governance, or other information. Uploads may be subject to different confidentiality classifications or tags within the Service. Depending on the feature used, document tag, account setting, user selection, engagement status, and surrounding context, uploaded materials may be treated differently for access, review, confidentiality, and privilege purposes.
We do not intend to collect personal information from children under 13. Users ages 13 through 17 may use the Site or Service only as described in the StartupCLO Terms of Use and only with documented parental or guardian consent where legally sufficient.
Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Site or Service, we and our service providers may collect information automatically through cookies, analytics tools, logs, and similar technologies. This may include information about your browser, device, IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, time spent on pages, and interactions with Site features, if applicable.
We use Google Analytics. The intake indicates that no advertising pixels are currently used and no ads are currently used. If pixels, advertising cookies, retargeting, or behavioral advertising are added later, this Privacy Policy should be updated before implementation.
Information From Third Parties
We may receive information from third-party service providers and tools used to operate the Site and Service, including scheduling tools, form tools, payment processors, client management systems, CRM systems, newsletter or email tools, hosting providers, analytics providers, legal technology tools, legal research providers, and other operational providers.
Confirmed or planned providers include:
- Fly.io for current hosting;
- AWS for future hosting;
- Google Workspace for business productivity, communications, storage, and related operations;
- Microsoft for business productivity, communications, storage, and related operations;
- Google Analytics for website analytics;
- Brevo for email marketing and support;
- Roam for scheduling, webinars, and events;
- Google for scheduling, forms, and workspace-related tools;
- Calendly for scheduling;
- Spellbook for legal technology and document workflow support;
- WealthCounsel for estate planning client forms and legal document workflows;
- Westlaw for legal research;
- CaseFox for CRM and client management;
- Stripe for checkout, payments, and subscription billing;
- Beehiiv for newsletter and blog functionality; and
- Google Forms for forms and intake.
How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and Service;
- Provide legal products, legal services, educational content, attorney advertising, and general legal information;
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
- Schedule consultations, webinars, events, and meetings;
- Process intake forms, client forms, document uploads, and portal activity;
- Evaluate whether and how we may provide legal products or legal services;
- Conduct conflicts, eligibility, identity, business authority, payment, and account checks where appropriate;
- Create and manage accounts when account functionality is available;
- Process purchases, invoices, payment obligations, and payments through Stripe;

- Send transactional, administrative, legal-service-related, billing, account, and security communications;

- Detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, misuse, security incidents, unlawful activity, and Terms of Use violations;
- Comply with legal, regulatory, professional responsibility, tax, accounting, recordkeeping, and dispute-resolution obligations; and
- Enforce agreements, collect amounts owed, and defend legal claims.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- To service providers and vendors that help us operate the Site and Service, including hosting, cloud, communications, email, analytics, scheduling, forms, payment processing, CRM, client management, legal technology, legal research, newsletter, blog, support, and document management providers;
- To Stripe and other payment providers to process purchases, payment obligations, chargebacks, and payment-related activity;
- To scheduling, forms, webinar, newsletter, and client management tools to administer the Service;
- To legal technology, legal research, and document tools to support legal products, legal services, document workflows, and internal operations, subject to applicable confidentiality and professional obligations;
- To professional advisors, including attorneys, accountants, tax advisors, auditors, insurers, and consultants;
- To comply with law, subpoena, court order, government request, professional obligation, or legal process;
- To protect rights, safety, security, users, clients, and the integrity of the Site or Service;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, change of control, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law and professional obligations; and
- With your consent or at your direction.
We do not currently state that we sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising purposes. The current intake indicates that no advertising pixels are used and no ads are used. If our practices change, this Privacy Policy should be updated before implementation.
Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, analytics tools, logs, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, understand usage, troubleshoot issues, secure the Site, and improve the Service.
Google Analytics is currently used. No advertising pixels and no ads are currently used according to the intake. You may manage cookies through your browser settings. Some features of the Site or Service may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
If we later use advertising pixels, retargeting, behavioral advertising, or similar technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate and provide notices, choices, or consents required by applicable law.
Email Marketing and Communications
We may use Brevo, Beehiiv, Google Workspace, Microsoft, and other communication tools to send newsletters, blog updates, event information, support communications, service communications, legal-service-related messages, billing messages, and transactional notices.
You may opt out of promotional emails by clicking unsubscribe or by emailing optout@startupclo.com with the subject line: OPT OUT - [User Name] - [Company Name], or by using any unsubscribe link included in a promotional email. Even if you opt out of promotional messages, we may still send transactional, administrative, account, legal-service-related, billing, security, and legally required communications.
We do not include SMS marketing language in this Privacy Policy unless and until StartupCLO confirms that SMS or text-message marketing is used.
Payments and Subscriptions
We use Stripe to process payments. We may offer paid legal products and services, including SAFE Package, Legal Launch, Legacy Fortress, FractionalCLO Packages, hourly legal work, and other flat-fee legal products. Stripe may collect and process payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.
StartupCLO does not intentionally store full payment card details. By subscribing, you authorize StartupCLO.com to charge you according to the applicable terms until payment obligations are satisfied or otherwise resolved under the applicable agreement.
FractionalCLO Packages are offered as 12-month contracts. The 12-month term does not automatically renew unless both parties choose to renew in a separate written agreement or renewal process. FractionalCLO Packages are not cancellable during the 12-month term except as expressly provided in the applicable engagement agreement or required by law.
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, assessments, charges, or governmental fees associated with your purchase, except to the extent StartupCLO is required by law to collect or remit them.
User Content, Uploads, Comments, Messaging, and Community Features
The Service may allow users to submit content, upload files, complete forms, comment, send messages, interact with other users, participate in community areas, or otherwise provide information. We may collect and process that information to provide the Service, administer accounts, communicate with users, moderate content, support legal products or legal services, enforce our Terms of Use, and comply with legal and professional obligations.
Uploads are mixed confidentiality and may be tagged within the Service on a per-document basis. Depending on the feature used, document tag, account setting, user selection, engagement status, and surrounding context, uploaded materials may be treated differently for access, review, confidentiality, and privilege purposes.
You should not post confidential, privileged, proprietary, sensitive, legal, tax, financial, business, personal, or third-party information in public, community-visible, or user-visible areas unless you intend for that information to be available in that area and have authority to share it.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Site and Service, administer accounts, provide legal products or legal services, comply with legal, tax, accounting, professional responsibility, recordkeeping, and dispute-resolution obligations, enforce agreements, collect amounts owed, resolve disputes, and protect rights, safety, and security.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no website, online service, transmission, storage system, or vendor platform is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using secure networks and devices when accessing the Site or Service.
International Users
The Site and Service are primarily directed to users in the United States, but StartupCLO may receive inquiries from foreign nationals, including EU/UK residents, who seek to create U.S. entities or purchase U.S.-focused legal products or legal services.
If you access the Site or Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Additional privacy disclosures, rights, lawful bases, or transfer terms may apply depending on your location and applicable law.
U.S. State Privacy Rights

StartupCLO does not currently state that it sells personal information or shares personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising based on the current intake. If StartupCLO’s practices change, this Privacy Policy should be updated before implementation.
California Privacy Notice
If California privacy law applies, California residents may have additional rights and disclosures. StartupCLO may serve users from all U.S. states, including California residents. Whether California privacy law applies may depend on legal thresholds, exemptions, data practices, and business activities.
If applicable, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, port, limit the use of sensitive personal information, opt out of certain sale or sharing activities, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights. Children and Minors
The Site and Service are not intended for children under 13, and children under 13 may not use the Site or Service. Users ages 13 through 17 may browse or use the Site or Service only with documented consent from a parent or legal guardian and only where permitted by law.
Users ages 13 through 17 may not purchase paid services, enter into legal engagements, create binding payment obligations, or request entity formation or legal services unless a parent, legal guardian, or other legally authorized adult is party to the applicable agreement and provides required consent.

Attorney-Client and Professional Responsibility Considerations
Submitting information through the Site does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship unless and until StartupCLO has agreed to represent you in a signed written engagement agreement. However, we may treat certain information in accordance with applicable professional responsibility, confidentiality, privacy, and engagement obligations where required.
Uploads, portal communications, and submitted documents may be subject to different confidentiality classifications or tags. Attorney-client privilege and confidentiality may depend on whether an attorney-client relationship exists, the context of the submission, the applicable engagement agreement, applicable professional rules, and applicable law.
Please do not submit sensitive, confidential, privileged, legal, tax, financial, business, personal, or third-party information unless requested or unless submission is necessary for the Service.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Site or Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, applications, platforms, and tools. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their privacy, security, accessibility, or legal practices. Your use of third-party services is subject to the third party’s terms and privacy policies.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Site before such changes take effect, unless a different method or timing is required or permitted by law.
